Hi there! Welcome to your new favorite sourdough microbakery! My name is Emily, and I am the baker and owner behind Big Dog Bakery - A small, heart-driven microbakery founded in Thornton, Colorado. The name “Big Dog Bakery” is inspired by my two rescue dogs, who bring just as much joy to my life as baking. I believe in using real, high-quality ingredients that when paired together create amazing flavors that not only taste delicious but provide better gut health and balance.

As a one-woman bakery with two very lovable big dogs as my daily mascots, I handcraft each batch using long fermentation, high-quality flours, and slow, traditional methods that make bread easier to digest and full of natural flavor. My mission is to show that bread can be good for you, and that it should be an experience to savor — warm, comforting, and made with intention.
